Living Psychotherapy | Rebecca Bruno MA, LMFT
You have a well of resources within you, already primed for healing.
a judgment-free setting to unfold and transform
When anxiety, depression, grief, and confusion become too much to handle alone, seeking help is vital.
I work with people along their path to self-understanding and healing. Together, we relate with internal images, landscapes of thought, and emotion to deepen your relationship with psyche in a process of coming home to yourself.
As the therapeutic process helps you unwind from trauma, stress, and inherited beliefs, what is true for you will have the space to shine through.
I welcome you to schedule a complimentary fifteen-minute phone consultation to see whether we may work well together.

Living Psychotherapy | Rebecca Bruno MA, LMFT
I offer an inclusive co-creative space for unwinding and restoring trust in yourself and in your relationships.
“May you find harmony between your soul and your life.”
— John O’Donohue
My Background
I came to psychotherapy after more than a decade of practicing movement and somatic therapies including cranial sacral therapy and authentic movement. These practices were interwoven with my work as a dance artist and founder of a project called homeLA, an inclusive body-centered nomadic performance project that works to expand the notion of home in Los Angeles. I am a graduate of the Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology program at Pacifica Graduate Institute emphasizing in Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Clinical Counseling, and Depth Psychology where I serve as an Associate Faculty, Thesis Advisor, and Teaching Assistant. I’ve continued my education with courses in Complex Trauma, Internal Family Systems, Somatic Experiencing, Dream Tending, and Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples.
Therapeutic Approaches
-
Somatic
Somatic psychotherapy is a way of centering on the body in talk therapy. Movement, sensation, perception, feeling, and intuition arise from the nervous system and support the work of processing trauma. By engaging awareness of our visceral natures, we gain greater capacity for emotional safety, relational integrity, and personal and collective wisdom.
-
Humanistic
A person-centered approach that views individuals as containing an innate capacity to heal from within. Through this process, we can understand our problems and have the resources within ourselves to resolve them. Therapy from this perspective rests in the relationship between the client and therapist, has a flexible structure, and is minimally directive.
-
Depth
Jungian based psychology offers a creative view of the human psyche. The presence of story, imagination, dream-tending, art, synchronicity, association, intuition, and the numinous are appreciated within the therapeutic relationship. These elements help to reveal unconscious material, personal, and collective complexes that are influencing one’s life and relationships.
-
Liberation
This is a sociopolitical psychology that centers on justice, peace, testimony, and sustainability by helping people make sense of and respond to the world around them. Liberation psychology challenges the psychological tenet that psychological problems are primarily individual as opposed to a reasonable reaction to their environment.
